What would happen to the world if there's no technology?

As we grow more and more dependent on technology we lose the ability to survive without it. What will happen if we can no longer produce the materials and power required to run our techno-society. This could result from a devastating global war or simply over time as we exhaust our resources and expand our population.
Technology is so taken for granted that if society were without it for a day it would cause chaos. The loss of technology would, however, at least make some people reflect on how difficult everyday life seems to be when technology isn't available. It also would be interesting to see how well people adapted to a sudden loss of technology.
Moreover, can you imagine a world without a computer? Your life will be so bored, you cannot do anything. Just sit tight at home watching TV’s.

Today wherever we go, we get computers by our side to help us. There's no doubt that   computers are not meant only for good purposes, but if we differentiate the pros and cons of computers, we come to find it as the most valuable technology on earth today. So if no computers, NO LIFE!!
L For various types of person, computer means everything, from doing your work until your lifestyle can effect from a computer.

Computers

·         Computers are so important to Western industrialized society that many aspects of that society would be negatively affected if technology was lost for a day. From hospitals to stock markets, the consequences of a widespread less of technology would be serious. Apart from the tangible problems, a great deal of stress also would affect people. One example of this would be increased worry about the inability to pay bills, transfer money from one account to another, or access medical records.

Communication

·         Losing the ability to communicate would be one of the hardest things for people to deal with after a loss of technology. This obviously would cause problems in the workplace, for example, without the ability to send email. Emotionally, it would be difficult for some people to adjust to not using mobile phones, as well as not being able to send and receive emails, use instant messaging and social media. Some people would feel suddenly alienated from their world.

Music

·         A major shutdown of anything technological would result in being unable to use iPods and watch the latest music videos on YouTube. Music fans then might deeply appreciate the battery-powered transistor radio. As music uplifts the spirit and moves people in a profound way, any difficulty in accessing it would distress music lovers. There would be no downloading of music, and musical artists would not be able to upload their latest creations.

Rediscovery

·         One positive impact of a loss of technology might be a reliance on more basic methods of working and communicating. This would include writing with a pen and paper more often than usual, or going back to using a typewriter. Communication would have to involve more face time with real people, rather than being absorbed by a screen, or texting and talking on a phone.

Straight Line & Cross Over Cable

We have to perform some activity on the straight-through and cross-over cable. Then we are being told to cut the end of the RJ 45 cable before joining the wire according to the type of cable (straight-through & cross-over).
Cutting the cable
A crossover cable is used to connect like devices, like a router to a router, but a straight through cable is used to connect dissimilar devices, like a router to a computer. To create a straight-through cable, you'll have to use either T-568A or T-568B on both ends of the cable. The diagram depicted on the left and right shows clip of the RJ-45 connector down.

Straight-through cable
To create a cross-over cable, you'll wire T-568A on one end and T-568B on the other end of the cable.
Cross-over cable

This is the Straight-through cable that i've made.
&& Cross-over cable that i've made.
The cable is DONE! :)

Preventive Maintenance

Preventive Maintenance

The term preventive maintenance is heard so frequently that the assumption is everyone should understand what it means. Unfortunately, it is all too often believed that the goal of a preventive maintenance program is to guarantee the system will continue to properly function indefinitely. In fact, a preventive maintenance program means delaying and attempting to prevent most future problems involving a variety of systems, whether manufacturing equipment, car or furnace. It also applies to people and their bodies through preventive medicine.
Preventive maintenance refers to carrying out measures to prevent problems from occurring, in contrast to corrective maintenance, which seeks to solve an already-existing problem. In the long run, preventive maintenance saves time and money, protects the data, improves computer performance, and prolongs computer life. These are accomplished by considering and planning for the risks involved in working with computers (e.g. data loss, hardware failure).

How to do computer maintenance and reduce computer problems:
You don’t have to be an IT professional to keep your PC in good shape. Any computer user can follow the guidelines I have mentioned below, and can reduce their PC problems dramatically.
1.      Use a good anti-virus program. This is the most important piece of work in preventive maintenance. Installing the antivirus program is not good enough. You should do following as well:
  •  Set-up the program to download and install updates automatically.
  •  Schedule periodic full system scans.
  •  Check the virus definitions date regularly and see whether it is up to date.
2.      Set-up your PC to Download and install “Windows Updates" automatically. Windows updates include Operating System patches for bugs and PC security related issues. These patches can reduce many unknown computer problems.
3.      Install anti Spyware program to detect Spyware tools.
4.      Install a Personal Firewall. Most of the anti virus programs are bundled with Personal Firewalls these days. Personal firewall is a barrier between your PC and the outside world. This can protect your PC from hackers and Spyware tools.
5.      Do not download and install unknown software from Internet. This is the biggest mistake most of the PC users are doing. Some of this software can damage the Windows registry, which cause lot of errors.
6.      Uninstall unnecessary programs installed in your PC.
7.      Be very careful when you download music from the Internet. Always stick to one trustworthy web site.
8.      Perform Scandisk periodically to check the Hard Drive.
9.      Delete temporary Internet files. To automatically delete these files in IE9, goto Tools - Internet Options - Second one click it and select everything. then click apply then ok then it will delete all
1   10. If possible, try not to use Internet Explorer because it has major security breaches which could be potentially harmful for your system. Two alternative web browsers you can try are Mozilla Firefox and Opera or at FileHippo.Java to get the latest Java download.

Functions of CCleaner:
CCleaner is a small program design to optimize your Windows operating system. It’s function is to delete useless temporary files and clean the Windows registry and can also be used as a software uninstaller. The Windows registry function deletes invalid records like those that remains after uninstalling programs.
I consider it one of the best programs of this type because it’s actually small and needs very little memory compared to other programs with the same functions. It is free and also is very well integrated in Windows 7 with multi-language support. A small drawback of this program is that it does not erase all temporary files in the system, namely: do not delete temporary files from other computer users.

CCleaner’s has four main menu options:
1. Cleaning: delete all temporary files, but beware if you want to keep your browser cookies and history. You should uncheck that box otherwise you will have to retype login information on all your favorite sites.
2. Registry: this defines the options of deleting registry keys that are invalid, or left behind after uninstall of certain programs, software, patches and so on. When you do system scans you’ll be asked for a backup copy. I personally do this backup because even if it generally delete only records that are not endanger your system it may cause some malfunction of some programs by deleting useful registry.
3. Tools: here you can uninstall any program the you have installed, manage the start-up programs, delete system restores or wipe data from your hard drive.
4. Options: Ofers the general CCleaner options like languages, right-click options, start-up with windows and so on.

World War 1 Technology

Air Warfare
The Fokker triplane belonging to Manfred von Richthofen (the "Red Baron")
Before the war, airplanes were used for recreational purposes. However, once people realized the advantages of using air craft’s in war, they quickly became an object of fear. In the beginning of the war, many thought that airplanes were considered "cheating" and unfair to be used during war. Later, airplanes became acceptable in war when they were seen as something that could assist in the outcome of the war. For instance, airplanes dropped bombs over the enemy's country and shot at any intruding planes. They also monitored the sky over the trenches so that the soldiers would be more protected. Many thought airplanes were important part of the war, instead of war at land or sea, but in the air.

As with most other technologies, the aircraft underwent many improvements during World War I. Early war aircraft were not much different in design from the original Wright Flyer, which made its first flight over a decade earlier.

While early air spotters were unarmed, they soon began firing at each other with handheld weapons and even throwing spears. An arms race commenced, quickly leading to increasingly agile planes equipped with machine guns. A key innovation was the interrupter gear, a German invention that allowed a machine gun to be mounted behind the propeller so the pilot could fire directly ahead, along the plane's flight path.

As the stalemate developed on the ground, with both sides unable to advance even a few miles without a major battle and thousands of casualties, planes became greatly valued for their role gathering intelligence on enemy positions and bombing the enemy's supplies behind the trench lines. Large planes with a pilot and an observer were used to reconnoiter enemy positions and bomb their supply bases. Because they were large and slow, these planes made easy targets for enemy fighter planes. As a result, both sides used fighter aircraft to both attack the enemy's observer planes and protect their own.

Germany led the world in the design of Zeppelins, and used these airships to make occasional bombing raids on military targets, London and other British cities, without any great effect. Later in the war, Germany began attacking English cities with long range strategic bombers. As with the Zeppelin attacks, Germany's strategic bombing of England had limited tactical value, but it was demoralizing and showed the British they could not be completely immune from the effects of the war in their own country. It also forced the British air forces to maintain squadrons of fighters in England to defend against air attack, depriving the British Expeditionary Force of planes, equipment, and personnel badly needed on the Western front.

Manned observation balloons floating high above the trenches were used as stationary reconnaissance points on the front lines, reporting enemy troop positions and directing artillery fire. Balloons commonly had a crew of two, each equipped with parachutes: upon an enemy air attack on the flammable balloon, the crew would jump to safety. At the time, parachutes were too heavy to be used by pilots in aircraft, and smaller versions would not be developed until the end of the war. (In the British case, there arose concerns that they might undermine morale, effectively encouraging cowardice.) Recognized for their value as observer platforms, observation balloons were important targets of enemy aircraft. To defend against air attack, they were heavily protected by large concentrations of antiaircraft guns and patrolled by friendly aircraft.
By inhibiting the enemy's ability to move in secrecy, aerial reconnaissance over the front can be blamed to some degree for the stalemate of trench warfare.
